Tic Tac Jump from Maple Landmark Woodcraft ... - WTS Toy Review

One board, two games. Play tic-tac-toe on one side, and a traditional solitaire game on the other. Made from locally harvested hardwood maple with laser engraved instructions. Comes with marbles and a drawstring bag that everything fits in for storage.

Oh Tic Tac Jump ? are you easy? Depends who you ask and how they interpret the question! Is Tic Tac Jump easy to begin playing? Sure. Is either game easy to win? Depends who you play on the Tic Tac Toe side ? and definitely depends on your skill in the Solitaire side!

So a game made of hardwood is going to hold up just fine. A game with loose marbles?well, that?s a different story. We were happy to see the folks from Maple Landmark included a drawstring bag to store the game and the marbles, but some of us on the team know our kids too well?and without all of the marbles, you aren?t going to be able to play the solitaire game all too well. You?ve been warned ? keep an eye on those marbles!

It was sad. In a world with games that talk to you, have flashing lights and sounds?our team just couldn?t get too excited about the look of Tic Tac Jump. It?s a classic, but it isn?t going to be the first thing kids pull off of a shelf.

There are few games that stand the test of time ? and these two are some of them. They are true time taker uppers (just ask the folks from Cracker Barrel!). And with two games on one board we have to give some extra props for Functionality.

A combo board game (2 in 1!) that costs less than $10! That?s a plus! On the other hand we are starting to see some more involved games that come in around that price point as well. We like the pricing ? don?t get us wrong?but this is starting to feel like a game that could be closer to $5 than $10.

Well?neither tic tac toe or the solitaire game are exactly original. We like they are combined on one board, and we like the storage bag. Other than that, nothing too original here.

Tic tac toe and solitaire are classics ? and the folks from Maple Landmark have been working with the classics for years. From where we sit, we definitely want our kids to be playing with simple wooden games, but from where they sit they just may not be that into it. Tic Tac Jump is affordable and a great stocking stuffer. Eventually your kids will love playing with it and we?ll all be better people for it!
